Covid-19: a message from CAFAG
CAFAG are collaborating with Fegg Hayes Futures, Chell Parish Churches, Fegg Hayes and Chell Heath Residents Associations to support people at this time of uncertainty by collection prescriptions, making telephone calls and delivering food parcels. (This is a free service mainly for people in the Chell Heath, Chell and Fegg Hayes area of the city)For more information please contact 0789 544 6710 OR Fegg Hayes Futures on 01782 761134
In these unprecedented times CAFAG and many other charities are facing a range of issues requiring difficult decisions. After many discussions, we felt that it was in the best interest to protect the community, staff and volunteers by closing the centre until further notice. We are committed to supporting our community who are already coping with the immense challenges, and the possibility of increased isolation and being cut off from their support networks. We have reviewed and will continue to review our support offerings in line with the constantly changing government advice.
CAFAG will keep this page up to date over the coming weeks.
We are a small charity, with the ability to be adaptable and flexible and will do our best to continue to support the community whilst at all times being mindful of reducing any possible risk to the community and our staff. Staff will be working from home over the coming weeks to protect them and volunteers, advised by the government and our support staff will be keeping in touch with volunteers, to keep them involved whilst respecting their privacy. There is no denying that it is going to be a difficult few months, but we will keep up the ‘momentum’ and continue to stand by our community who need us more than ever before. We are confident that our supporters and community networks, understand our needs and will continue to give back for which we are incredibly grateful.
